Are you involved in delivering innovative, evidence-based alcohol and drug programs or services? Have you been working on ground-breaking research which could influence AOD practice and treatment? Share your ideas with a highly engaged audience of people who work in the AOD sector, at the Australian Winter School (AWS) Conference.
AWS is a long-standing national drug and alcohol conference in Queensland, jointly presented by the Queensland Network of Alcohol and other Drug Agencies and Lives Lived Well. With its theme Crossroads, AWS presentations will explore and highlight the complex intersection alcohol and other drugs have with other sectors.
We are looking for conference speakers to inspire delegates and introduce them to new ideas and ways of thinking and working. Perhaps you can speak about an effective prevention, harm reduction, early intervention or health promotion program? Or maybe you are working in an innovative area of alcohol and drug policy which impacts on alcohol and drug treatment?
Abstract submissions close on Tuesday 28 February. Abstracts must be submitted online as Microsoft Word documents only, using the official AWS2017 abstract template. Download the templates from the website. Abstracts should be a minimum of 250 words, and no longer than 300 words (excluding the title).
